Feather Locks

Have you guys seen feather extensions popping up in your friends hair? Is this like the Black Swan finding her alter ego?

Jennifer Love Hewitt's got them in for a fun day of shopping in West Hollywood...

Well whatever it is...this is pretty fun!! And, it's nice that it's temporary..You get the feathers put in at the salon. You can wash them, curl them, straighten them...I think they last about 3-4 weeks depending on how much wear and tear they get...

Taryn Manning has them swirling through her blond locks.

Get ready for Spring and Summer with this carefree look:)

We charge $5 a feather... I would guess you would be looking at $15-60 feather highlights...and, Yes...The feathers are in at Salon Capelli...

Feathers for everyone:) hahah

Ombre...I'm Obsessed with Ombre

Ombre- (French translation) Shadow or Shaded

The new style trend of Ombre is hot on the runway and hot on the street. With Drew Barrymore and other big stars updating their locks with this fun style it's catching on like wild fire..

Katie Shillingford (Style editor for Dazed & Confused) wears the style very well for shorter bob length hair..I've seen this style mainly on long hair, but I think it looks amazing on this length as well!!

Can you see yourself in Ombre? I think I can...

I love her Cameo top button, and her black nails with the whites and creams of her clothes..I'm seeing lighter colors this season..Whites, grays, creams, neutrals.

I love her smokey eyes, attitude, and curls..Remember girls..Always have confidence and attitude..because you really are amazing!! and fun!! just smile a lot and laugh..it's a proven mood lifter.. I'm smiling right now...haha..this is fun:)

I love her long bangs..and..yes..I love the new Ombre look..jump on it while you can..if you want to try a new color this is a super easy way to play with your hair!! And, it might now be this way for long.. So, do it while it's hot!!

ENTER THE WORLD OF OMBRE COLOR!!

I think this could be lovely on some stylish silver or salt & pepper haired women as well fading the ends to blue, a deep titanium, lavender, or aqua..Oh my Oh my...

xoxo,

It's pretty much an allover color roots to ends with a glaze somewhere between $75-$110 www.kirapinski.com

Pureology's NEW Silk Bodifier(link to demo at bottom of post)

Hi Stylist friends,

I wanted to share an exciting new way to use Pureology's Silk Bodifier AKA by me as"The Mousse"

At the Salon Centric's Undressed Creativity Exposed Event this past weekend in Seattle, I came away with tons of information which I will try to update on tricks and tips, but for now one of my favorite new products is the Silk Bodifier!!

It leaves the hair full and shiny. It's great for thicker, drier hair that can take a little taming while maintaining fullness and movement. The hair feels incredibly soft and shiny when the Bodifier is blown into the hair or applied dry....Not Greasy..

Word of caution with Pureology..on fine thin hair...Root Lift might be your product of choice or the new Colour Stylist Heat Fortifiying Spray with 400 degrees heat protection. Silk Bodifier can be used in the tiniest amount, like a 1/2 squirt or thick nickle size to prevent the hair from being weighted down...Or, try it dry:)

Hope you have as much fun with the Silk Bodifier as I am..I love new toys:)

Here's the link with Darren Pena from Pureology...The video is too big link
