Visit to Colonial Williamsburg Wig Shop

Over the Christmas holiday, I visited Colonial Williamsburg, VA and met 3 interpreters in the Wig Shop. This was the hairstylist of the times, and this is one of my dream retirement jobs.

I brought back my interpretation of a powder mask for all my brides and clients that use loads of hairspray to guard their faces...When they had their wig powdered before and during a party they would wear a simple wooden mask to protect their face from the powder, then they would dust their shoulders off with a brush.

The wig makers book is also available to look at in the salon:)
