My family lives in Williamsburg VA where celebrating our independence from Britain is a big deal! I love watching Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry have conversations with the modern visitors. I love spending my time in the wig shop learning about the hair styles of the colonists. I love walking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg and the governors palace thinking about what it was like when America wasn't quite free, and then when we began our revolution for freedom.
On July 4, 1776 the Continental Congress approved it's final wording of the Declaration of Independence. The words that I always remember are the gifts for EVERYONE of "Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness". That sounds like freedom to me:)
